A New Beginning......
Hi Family! I have FINALLY made our first graph showing the results from our latest weekend reports. For any of you that are procrastinators (like me), now is the time to get going if we are ALL going to reach our goals. WE CAN DO THIS! After regaining 10 pounds and sitting at 150-151 pounds for a month, I decided that I had better get serious. I've lost 2 pounds since we began again and have 24 more pounds to go--yikes! I went running this morning. I'm feeling hungry now--and as Justin says: if you're hungry, it's working! What got me motivated? Well this last weekend I briefly saw Lee and Jen. Even though they were both tired, they just had that "healthy" glow. I wanted that too! Please feel free to share and encourage on our official blog.

My Fitness Pal -Anabelle
A recommendation from Anabelle:
Yeah, I haven't been doing so well because I am not so good at adding up my calorie-count; however, I think I cracked it this weekend. I found a program online (free!) called myfitnesspal.com and I just wanted to share it with the rest of the family.
It's a program that tracks your progress. As you sign up, it asks you your current weight, your goal weight, and in how much time you want to reach your goal. Accordingly, it gives you a calorie allowance that varies with the degree of daily activity. Every day, you log in the food you have been eating and it gives you an accurate break down of the calorie intake. Plus, you can enter your daily exercise and it tells you how many calories you have burned. The more exercise you do, the more calories are added to your daily allowance.
If you need more clarifications or help, feel free to contact me at anabelleselway@gmail.com
I love it already, because I eat very healthy food, but I don't realize that the calories still add up quickly. It is an answer to my struggles and I hope it will help you as well!

Cara
Starting Weight: 134
Goal weight: 125
Motivation:
I don't know about you but without a 24 hour gym, a double tall skinny
latte, and a Whole Foods my fitness plan is sort of kaput.
Consequently moving to Macedonia, given that it lacks the
aforementioned amenities, hasn't done wonders for my cardiovascular
stamina. What pork kebabs are not a totally amazing fat burning food
you say? Enter in a need for a total fitness revamp. My new fitness à
la mode aka home workout plan will be an experiment with the p90x
workout system. Some of you may or may not have heard of the joys of
working out with Tony Horton but in short the p90x system is a
collection of home workout videos that use minimal amounts of
equipment. In my case that includes some workout bands I brought from
home and a yoga mat improvised from a plastic bath mat. I must say
that I find the dolphin decor very soothing for my chi. Anyways we
will see how it goes! I will either become insanely RIPPED, which the
video claims is inevitable if followed correctly, or I will have to
be institutionalized from the incessant and fatuous comments made by
Tony Horton throughout every workout. So in the words of Tony himself
"do your best and forget the rest'.
P.S. I just want to say that regardless of the winner I know deep down
inside that I will always be the biggest loser in the family.
